Digital Streaming Release Date Set for Ken Loach’s Final Film THE OLD OAK

The final film of legendary filmmaker Ken Loach’s career, THE OLD OAK, is set to make its streaming debut next month, arriving on VOD and digital platforms on June 4th, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival before launching in limited release in US theaters on April 5th, 2024.

The Old Oak was directed by Ken Loach and written by Paul Laverty. In the film, pub landlord TJ Ballantyne, living in a previously thriving mining community in County Durham, struggles to hold onto his pub and keep it as the one remaining public space where people can meet in the town. Meanwhile, tensions rise when Syrian refugees are placed there, but Ballantyne strikes up a friendship with one of the refugees, Yara.
