A24’s OPUS Sets HBO Max Streaming Premiere Date

The A24 psychological thriller OPUS is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on HBO Max on July 11th, 2025. The film world premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival before launching in US theaters on March 14th, 2025. It hit PVOD on April 1st.
The film will make its linear debut SATURDAY, JULY 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET on HBO.
Opus is written and directed by Mark Anthony Green in his feature directorial debut, and stars Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Young Mazino, Stephanie Suganami, and Tatanka Means.
In the film, a young writer is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared thirty years ago. Surrounded by the star's cult of sycophants and intoxicated journalists, she finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan.
