FREELANCE Gets Swifted, Shifts Theatrical Date

The ripple-effect of the bombshell that is TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR continues. Relativity has pushed back the theatrical release date for its John Cena action thriller FREELANCE. Previously scheduled for October 6th, the film will now open wide on October 27th, 2023.

The move was likely made to avoid competing with the opening weekend of THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER, which itself retreated from Taylor earlier in the week. Freelance will now only have to go up against FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S, a film that is being released day-and-date on Peacock.

We’ve added the release date to our in theaters calendar.
