Golden Globe Nominee FALLEN LEAVES Streaming Premiere Date Confirmed

MUBI has set a streaming premiere date for Aki Kaurismäki’s romantic comedy/drama FALLEN LEAVES, which will launch for sale on digital platforms and on MUBI US’s subscription service on January 19th, 2023. The film won the Jury Prize at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and debuted in US theater in limited release on November 17th.

Fallen Leaves was written and directed by Aki Kaurismäki and is a continuation of his Proletariat series, which was originally planned as a trilogy and already includes Shadows in Paradise (1986), Ariel (1988), and The Match Factory Girl (1990). Alma Pöysti (who was Golden Globe nominated) and Jussi Vatanen star. The film is short listed for the Best International Feature Oscar.
