Hulu Sets Streaming Premiere Date for Oscar-Nominee POOR THINGS

The Oscar-nominated Yorgos Lanthimos film POOR THINGS is set to make its SVOD debut next week, arriving on Hulu on March 7th, 2024. The film world-premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival before arriving in US theaters in limited release on December 8th. It made its digital streaming debut yesterday, February 27th, 2024.

Poor Things was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and written by Tony McNamara. It stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael. Based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray, the plot follows Bella Baxter, a young woman in Victorian London who comes to life through a brain transplant and embarks on an odyssey of self-discovery.

The film is up for 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress (Stone), Best Supporting Actor (Ruffalo), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design, and Best Film Editing.
