JAWS @ 5O: THE DEFINITIVE INSIDE STORY Gets Disney+, Hulu Streaming Release Date

As first reported by Screenrant, the documentary JAWS @ 50: THE DEFINITIVE INSIDE STORY is set to make its streaming premiere this summer, arriving on Disney+ and Hulu on July 11th, 2025. The film will first air on the National Geographic Channel on Thursday, July 10th at 9p ET/8p CT.
The documentary was previously announced to be included in Universal’s 50th anniversary release of JAWS, which will hit retail on June 17th, 2025. So if you want to catch the documentary early, best to buy the 4K/Blu-ray.
Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story is directed by Laurent Bouzereau, and features Steven Spielberg, John Williams, Joe Alves, Lorraine Gary, Carl Gottlieb, Jeffrey Kramer, Jeffrey Voorhees, and Ian Shaw (son of Robert Shaw).
The film is the authorized documentary celebrating the film that redefined Hollywood, 50 years after its premiere. Alongside Steven Spielberg, JAWS @ 50 charts the extraordinary journey from Peter Benchley’s bestselling novel to one of the most iconic films ever made. Featuring rare archival footage and interviews with acclaimed Hollywood directors, top shark scientists, and conservationists, the documentary uncovers the behind-the-scenes chaos and how the film launched the summer blockbuster, inspired a new wave of filmmakers, and paved the way for shark conservation that continues today.
