MUBI Unveils Trailer, Sets Streaming Premiere Date for Documentary VICE IS BROKE

MUBI has released the official trailer for their upcoming documentary VICE IS BROKE, which will begin streaming on their platform on August 29th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for DOC NYC’s Grand Jury Prize.

From author, chef and director Eddie Huang, Vice is Broke sleuths through the stories that took an indie ‘zine to the peak of counterculture – then dramatically toppled it.

The meteoric rise and spectacular fall of Vice Media. A disaster capitalism exposé that’s emblematic of an era, from the irresistible insider’s point of view of a man on a mission to tell it like it is.
