ON SWIFT HORSES Gets Netflix Streaming Premiere Date

The Sony Pictures Classics drama ON SWIFT HORSES is set to make its SVOD debut later this month, arriving on Netflix on August 23rd, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival before launching in US theaters on April 25th, 2025. It hit PVOD on May 27th.
On Swift Horses is directed by Daniel Minahan and adapted by Bryce Kass. Based on Shannon Pufahl's 2019 novel, it stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jacob Elordi, Will Poulter, Diego Calva and Sasha Calle.
In the film, Muriel and her husband Lee are beginning a bright new life in California when he returns from the Korean War. But their newfound stability is upended by the arrival of Lee’s charismatic brother, Julius, a wayward gambler with a secret past.
A dangerous love triangle quickly forms. When Julius takes off in search of the young card cheat he’s fallen for, Muriel’s longing for something more propels her into a secret life of her own, gambling on racehorses and exploring a love she never dreamed possible.
