Oscar Winner I’M STILL HERE Gets Netflix Streaming Premiere Date

The Oscar winning Brazilian film I’M STILL HERE is set to make its SVOD debut in the US later this month, arriving on Netflix on May 17th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival before launching in New York and Los Angeles on January 17th, 2025. It arrived on PVOD on March 11th, 2025.

I’m Still Here is directed by Walter Salles from a screenplay by Murilo Hauser and Heitor Lorega, based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's 2015 memoir of the same name. It stars Fernanda Torres, Selton Mello, and Fernanda Montenegro.

In the film, Brazil faces the tightening grip of a military dictatorship. Eunice Paiva, a mother of five children is forced to reinvent herself after her family suffers a violent and arbitrary act by the government.

I’m Still Here was was nominated for Best Actress (Torres), Best Picture, and won Best International Feature Film, becoming the first-ever Brazilian produced film to win an Academy Award.
