Psychological Drama THE KNIFE Digital Streaming Release Date Revealed

According to our sources, Relativity Media is expected to release their psychological drama THE KNIFE on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on September 16th, 2025. The film world premiered in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 9, 2024, where it won awards for Best New Narrative Director and Best Cinematography. It launched in US theaters on August 15th, 2025.

The Knife is produced and directed by Nnamdi Asomugha (in his directorial debut) and co-written by Asomugha and Mark Duplass. The film stars Asomugha, Melissa Leo, Aja Naomi King, and Manny Jacinto.

In the film, all Chris wants is to build a promising future for his wife, Alex, and their two daughters—a young family chasing the American Dream. But one fateful night, their world is upended when a stranger mysteriously appears in their home. As tensions rise and unsettling revelations come to light, they must also face Detective Carlsen, whose relentless pursuit of the truth threatens to unravel everything.
