Searchlight Pictures Releases First Trailer, Poster for Brendan Fraser’s RENTAL FAMILY

Searchlight Pictures has dropped the first trailer and poster for their upcoming comedy drama RENTAL FAMILY, which will launch in US theaters on November 21st, 2025. The film is slated to world premiere at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.

Rental Family is directed and co-written by Hikari, and stars Brendan Fraser, Mari Yamamoto, Takehiro Hira and Akira Emoto.

In the film, a lonely, down and out American actor living in Tokyo starts working for a Japanese "rental family" company to play various stand-in roles in other people's lives. Along the way, he discovers unexpected joys within his built-in family.
