The Swedish sci-fi thriller WATCH THE SKIES has quietly made its SVOD debut, arriving on Prime Video today, October 27th, 2025. The film launched in US theaters on May 9th, 2025, and hit VOD and digital platforms on July 8th.
Watch the Skies (original title: UFO Sweden) is directed by Victor Danell, and stars Eva Melander, Inez Dahl Torhaug, and Jesper Barkselius.
In the film, when a foster home placed teenage rebel suspects that her father is not dead but kidnapped by UFOs, she takes help from a UFO association to find out the truth. Together, they embark on a risky adventure that takes them far beyond the laws borders and into a world filled with UFO expeditions, conspiracies and inexplicable phenomena.
Watch the Skies was filmed in Swedish, but in the US theatrical release, the actors appeared to be speaking English through the use of TrueSync, an AI visual dubbing tool from startup Flawless, which effectively syncs new (in this case, English language) dialogue with the actors’ mouth movements. The original actors recorded their lines in English as an ADR process, before the Flawless AI tech was applied to the movie.
Prime Video has both the English-language dub and original Swedish-language (with English subtitles) version for subscribers.
