Venice 2025: First Reactions to Jim Jarmusch’s FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER

The Venice Film Festival continues today, and reactions to some of the highly anticipated world premieres are hitting social media.
FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER is written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. It stars Cate Blanchett, Vicky Krieps, Adam Driver, Mayim Bialik, Tom Waits, Charlotte Rampling, Indya Moore and Luka Sabbat.
A feature film in the form of a triptych, the three stories all concern the relationships between adult children, their somewhat distant parent (or parents), and each other.
The film had its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 31st, 2025, where it is nominated for the Golden Lion. It is scheduled to be theatrically released in the US by Mubi on December 24th, 2025.
