Warner Bros Sets Digital Streaming Release Date for Animated AZTEC BATMAN: CLASH OF EMPIRES

Warner Bros is set to release the animated adventure AZTEC BATMAN: CLASH OF EMPIRES on VOD and digital platforms later this summer, arriving on September 19th, 2025. On September 23rd, 2025, the film will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD online and in-store at major retailers.
Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires is directed by Juan Meza-Léon from a screenplay by Ernie Altbacker and based on Batman created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. The Spanish audio version of the film features Mexican talent including Horacio García Rojas, Omar Chaparro, and Álvaro Morte, and the English voice cast features Jay Hernandez and Raymond Cruz.
The film will be available in both Spanish and English-language versions.
The film’s plot is as follows: This bold reimagining of the Batman legend unfolds within the vibrant and fierce culture of 16th century Mesoamerica. In the time of the Aztec empire, tragedy strikes Yohualli Coatl, a young Aztec boy, when his father is murdered by Spanish conquistadors. To warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of imminent danger, Yohualli escapes to Tenochtitlán.
There, he trains in the temple of the bat god Tzinacan with his mentor, developing equipment and weaponry to confront the Spanish invasion and avenge his father’s death. Along the way, he encounters key figures like the fierce Jaguar Woman and the enchanting Forest Ivy.
