When Will Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Be Streaming?

The Forecast: When the 1990 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES movie opened in March of that year, its weekend box-office stunned the industry with an astounding $25M gross. Knocking PRETTY WOMAN out of the top spot, it was the second largest opening weekend ever, second only to the previous year’s BATMAN. And it was the biggest opening weekend ever for an independent film.

Since then, the Turtles have had their ups and downs. But the consensus around TMNT: MUTANT MAYHEM is that it’s one of the best Ninja Turtles movies yet. The critical response is certainly overwhelmingly positive. It’s currently sitting at 96% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s better than OPPENHEIMER and BARBIE!

But when can we expect it to be streaming? Let’s first look at some comps from Paramount’s 2023 releases:

• DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES

  • In Theaters: March 31, 2023

  • PVOD: May 2, 2023 (32 Days Post-Theatrical)

  • Paramount+: May 16, 2023 (46 Days)

• TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS

  • In Theaters: June 9, 2023

  • PVOD: July 11, 2023 (32 Days)

  • Paramount+: July 25, 2023 (46 Days)

Both D&D and TRANSFORMERS were available for pre-order at the PVOD (Premium Video on Demand) price of $24.99. As we’ve seen, titles priced for PVOD almost always launch within 18-44 days of their theatrical debut. Since TMNT: MM is also currently available for pre-order at PVOD pricing, we’re feeling the 32/46 window is the most likely.
