IFC Films is set to release their drama HOT MILK on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on July 29th, 2025. The film world premiered at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival, before launching in US theaters on June 27th, 2025.

Hot Milk is written and directed by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, and is based on the novel of the same name by Deborah Levy. It stars Emma Mackey, Vincent Perez, Vicky Krieps, Patsy Ferran, Yann Gael, Vangelis Mourikisand, and Fiona Shaw.

In the film, Rose and her daughter Sofia travel to the Spanish seaside town of Almería to consult with the shamanic Dr. Gomez, a physician who could possibly hold the cure to Rose’s mystery illness, which has left her bound to a wheelchair. But in the sultry atmosphere of this sun-bleached town Sofia, who has been trapped by her mother’s illness all her life, finally starts to shed her inhibitions, enticed by the persuasive charms of enigmatic traveller Ingrid.

We’ve added the release date to our Streaming calendar. Pre-order the film from Amazon below, and check out the official US trailer.
