The horror parody SCREAMBOAT is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Peacock on September 12th, 2025. The film launched in US theaters via Iconic Events on April 2nd, 2025, and hit VOD and digital platforms on May 2nd.
Screamboat is directed by Steven LaMorte and stars David Howard Thornton (who plays Art the Clown in the Terrifier movies), Allison Pittel, Amy Schumacher, Jesse Posey, Kailey Hyman, Jesse Kove, and Jarlath Conroy.
The film is a reimagining of Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks's 1928 animated short film, Steamboat Willie. Though the Walt Disney Company retains exclusive rights to its own Mickey Mouse universe, the Steamboat Willie version of the iconic character entered the public domain on January 1, 2024. One day later, Screamboat was announced.
In Screamboat, a late-night boat ride turns into a desperate fight for survival in New York City when a mischievous mouse becomes a monstrous reality.
