THE SMASHING MACHINE Digital Streaming Release Date Revealed

According to our sources, A24 is expected to release their sports biopic THE SMASHING MACHINE on VOD and digital platforms early next month, arriving on November 4th, 2025. The film world premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival, check out the first reactions here. It launched in US theaters on October 3rd, 2025.

The Smashing Machine is written, directed, co-produced, and co-edited by Benny Safdie. It stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Lyndsey Gavin, Oleksandr Usyk, Bas Rutten, Ryan Bader, Satoshi Ishii, James Moontasri, and Yoko Hamamura.
In the film, in the late 1990s, up-and-coming mixed martial artist Mark Kerr aspires to become the greatest fighter in the world. However, he must also battle his opiod dependence and a volatile relationship with his girlfriend Dawn.
