Angel Studios Sets Digital Streaming Release Date for Inspirational Sports Drama THE SENIOR

Angel Studios has set a digital streaming release date for their inspirational sports drama THE SENIOR, which will arrive on VOD and digital platforms on October 14th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival before launching in US theaters on September 19th, 2025.

The Senior is directed by Rod Lurie, written by Robert Eisele, and stars Michael Chiklis, Mary Stuart Masterson, Brandon Flynn, James Badge Dale, and Rob Corddry.

In the film, at 59, Mike Flynt may be too old to be on a college football field, but not too old to feel the weight of unfinished business. After nearly four decades, he returns to his alma mater to take the hit that changed everything. Bruised, doubted, and nearly broken, he pushes for one more game, not for glory, but for the teammates he lost, the family he fractured, and the ending he still believes is possible.
